Slowly Turning
Marco Fraticelli
This collection brings together the best of Fraticelli’s haiku from thousands he has written over his 50 years as a poet. In the preface, he notes that: “In this collection, I have gathered together those haiku which, for me, have stood the test of time.” Those familiar with his work will recognize favourites, and new readers will be introduced to a poet accomplished in his craft.
A book review by Maxianne Berger appears in the Haiku Canada Review, Volume 18, Number 2, pages 73-74 (October 2024). Please use this link and scroll to page 73. “These poems are fully in the spirit of contemporary haiku in English. But then, of course, Fraticelli is one of our pioneers.”
